FAQ
Straight answers
The questions guests actually ask, answered the way we would over coffee. Anything missing, use the form at the bottom or WhatsApp [+33 X XX XX XX XX].
Why is wine not included?
Honest answer: because included wine on food tours is usually one small pour of the cheapest open bottle, and guests notice. We would rather be straight with you. Coffee, tea and water are included. For wine, Roffy seats you at places with proper cellar-bar prices, tells you what is worth ordering there, and you pay the menu price with zero tour markup. Wine lovers get the bottle they actually want. Non-drinkers stop paying for other people's glasses.
How big is the group?
It is your party only, up to [[6]] guests. Nobody else joins, ever. That is what private means here: one booking, one group, one guide.
We have dietary needs. Really handled, or 'we'll do our best'?
Really handled. You tell us at booking, and Roffy arranges your alternatives with each stop before the day, so a vegetarian gets a real dish, not a plate with the ham lifted off. Vegetarian and pescatarian are easy. Vegan, gluten-free and allergies are workable with notice, and if something genuinely limits a route, you hear that honestly before you book, not at the table.
How much walking is it, honestly?
Less than most tours, and the terrain is disclosed before you book. The metro covers the distance between neighborhoods, tickets included, and within each quartier the walks between stops are short. You are seated at every tasting. Montmartre involves slopes and stairs, printed on its own page. If stairs or distance are a concern, say so and you get a flat route.
What happens in bad weather?
The tour runs. Every tasting is seated inside, so rain means short dashes between doors, not soggy standing around. Roffy shuffles the route on the day if a downpour argues with the plan. Paris in the rain, eaten from a warm chair, is honestly a good version of Paris.
Can we bring kids?
Yes, it is your private tour. Roffy adjusts the stops and the stories, and kids tend to remember the eclair better than the cathedral. Tell us ages in the inquiry so portions and pacing fit. Strollers are workable on flat routes, harder in Montmartre.
How much does it cost?
From [[€XXX]] per person depending on party size and route. All tastings, hotel pickup, metro tickets, coffee, tea and water are in that price. The exact quote comes with your route proposal, before you commit to anything.
What is the cancellation policy?
[[Cancellation policy: to confirm with Roffy]]
How do we reach a human?
WhatsApp [[+33 X XX XX XX XX]]. On tour days a person answers, not a bot. Before booking, the inquiry form on this site reaches the same people and you get a personal reply, usually within a day.
Do you pick up from any hotel?
Central Paris hotels, yes [arrondissements covered to confirm with Roffy]. Staying further out or in an apartment? Say so in the inquiry. Sometimes pickup still works, sometimes the honest answer is a first stop minutes from your door. You know before you book.
Is the tour in English?
Yes. [Other languages to confirm with Roffy.]
Should we eat before the tour?
No. Come hungry, skip lunch, this replaces it. Savory dishes lead, a hot dish lands mid-tour, and dessert closes. Leaving hungry is the one review we never want to earn.
